Recreating_Eden verse:

Amanda Nichlos was living in South Hadley, Massachusetts with her mother and younger brother James when the virus invaded their lives.
 When Amanda's mother began showing symptoms of the disease the family desperately tried to find help for her at a local hospital, regrettably total chaos had already erupted by this point, leaving the hospital nothing more then a complete mess of frantic people and in the jostle the siblings were separated from their mother, losing her to the sea of faces. Standing there, with a crying James in her arms, amidst all the confusion and sickness, Amanda made a decision, she ran, refusing to stop until her and her brother had left their hometown and dying mother behind, believing this option was their best chance for survival.
Unfortunately, and unbeknownst to Amanda, James had already contracted the Shanti virus, the signs of his infection simply laying dormant within him until two weeks later, when, just like their mother, he started to become ill, and regardless of Amanda's efforts to find help for him, he soon passed away, leaving Amanda alone.  Since then she's been traveling across the country by herself under the name Jamie

Normal verse:

(aka Amanda's life in a world that wasn't completely ravaged by the Shanti virus)

In this universe Amanda's brother James passed away from leukemia a year ago, this tragedy only added tension to an already rocky home-life. Where nasty verbal arguments now at times had the potential to escalate into something more. It was during one of these more violent incidences that Amanda's step father began to choke on his own blood, before collapsing to his death. It was ridiculous notion but Amanda knew that somehow she had caused whatever had just happened, and she wasn't alone in this conviction, her mother, who stumbled in on the aftermath was terrified by her and proceeded to call the police.

Confused and scared Amanda did the only thing she was convinced she could do, she ran. It's been a almost a several months since then, Amanda's still running though she only answers to the name Jamie Ackley now.
